Holiday Island Named # 1 Small Town In America

Tom Dees, founder and President of Holiday Island Development Corporation, announced today the availability of an internet publication entitled “Top Ten Small Towns to Live In”.

The recently published list was developed by an independent source “Sports Writer, Inc.” – a contributor to a website advisory service, www.findyourspot.com, for people looking to relocate in retirement in the U. S.  The article (attached) was provided by Yahoo.com.

Among the top ten list, Holiday Island, Arkansas was number one and nearby Eureka Springs, Arkansas was the number three spot.

Mr. Dees commented “I’ve been saying ever since I got here 30 years ago, among all of the resort / planned communities I have been associated with, Holiday Island has it all.  It’s a great place to live, play, vacation, and visit.  We have established and accelerated the growth of a complete town.  Fueled by the inevitable growth of the corporate giants located in Northwest Arkansas, including Wal-Mart, Tyson Foods, and J.B. Hunt Transportation, and by the influence of nearby high profile attractions like Branson, Missouri and Eureka Springs, and the University of Arkansas, I believe Holiday Island is poised to be the fastest growing community in the area.”

“After all these years of promoting Holiday Island locally, regionally, and nationally, as a great place for a primary or secondary home, weekend get-a-way, vacation spot, and business location, it is rewarding to see an outside, unbiased, independent source rate Holiday Island the # 1 small town to live in America.”

Holiday Island Development Corporation is a privately-owned recreational / commercial real estate development and management company with substantial residential and commercial properties for acquisition, further development, and sale.
